No Leadership In the US Congress

Rant on...

Well, true to its collective nature, Congress has voted itself another pay raise. At a time when people are losing their jobs by the thousands, companies are shutting down factories, eliminating pay increases, 401K contributions, bonuses, etc, our Congress wags it's finger at Wall St. and Detroit, then flips off its constituents.

What complete and utter bullshit!

Currently, the average Congressman makes $169,300 a year, with the "leadership" (a loosely used term when applied to this group) making slightly more. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) makes $217,400, while the minority and majority leaders in the House and Senate make $188,100.

These jokers must believe that they are accountable to no one. It's time to get back to having "statesmen", not career politicians. If the President has term limits, why not Congress? Sheesh, I just voted and I'm ready to throw out more of the bums...
