What's better: Respect or Fear?

There is no denying that there are more ways than one to get an organization to improve. However, there is no greater feeling than standing next to a group of individuals who CHOOSE to work together for the sake of themselves AND the organization in which they share membership. THAT is the best part of being part of any organization. In the Military, people are kind of forced together with a collective training. It is a wonderful feeling to know what should be expected of the person accross from you based on common experience. Basic training gives each person a baseline standard that everyone collectively knows and expects everyone else to uphold. And everyone knows what is at least expected of them. No matter what their job is, everyone knows that there is an expectation of them to perform to a minimum standard, and that brings everyone together in a collective effort. There isn't any standard that is taught today in schools around the world. There is only a series of grade levels that is supposed to express a level of success on paper that is supposed to translate into monetary or lifetime success. But is it a fear of losing something that motivates us to true success or a mutual respect not to let one another down that guides us (or a business) to true success? Fear based leadership relies on the followers' (employees') willingness to trade their time for money and their fear of losing their job in order to pay their bills. Respect based leadership creates an environment that makes people mutually rely on each other. And there is a great number of solutions and ideas that can come from people's mutual trust and belief in one another (and their company). Books like Good To Great, Delivering Happiness, and 7 Habits For Highly Effective People deliver messages of how to achieve a synergistic plane of success. But do they make enough of a compelling argument for Respect based leadership or not?

The subsequent time I learn

The subsequent time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to read, however I really thought youd have something attention-grabbing to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you may fix in case you werent too busy searching for attention.
